SEASON SPRING 2010 O30

GAME 1: Sunday, February 07, 2010: Imagine Cars vs. Alemannia Aixpress 1:0
Alemannia started the season in O30 Premier with a loss against Imagine Cars. Despite Alemannia dominating most of the game, Imagine Cars scored the decisive goal after intercepting a pass inside Alemannia's defense.    

GAME 2: Sunday, February 14, 2010: Alemannia Aixpress vs. Clockwork Orange 1:1
Alemannia tied Clockwork Orange in a close game. David Oysten scored the goal for Alemannia.

GAME 3: Sunday, February 28, 2010: Links II vs. Alemannia Aixpress 2:1
Another close game. Links II came away with the win. The goal for Alemannia was scored by Michael Barclay.

GAME 4: Sunday, March 07, 2010: Orlando Atlas Lions vs. Alemannia Aixpress 1:1
Alemannia had numerous chances to win this game, hitting post and cross bar repeatedly. At the end, however, both teams deserved a point. Thor Adalsteinsson scored for Alemannia.

GAME 5:  Sunday, March 14, 2010: Alemannia Aixpress vs. Raggamuffins Black  2:1
Alemannia fought hard for the win. In a physical game against a quality opponenet, Alemannia scored first after Christian Thier intercepted the ball on defense and scored from close distance. The Raga Blacks equalized the score before halftime. David Oysten scored the winning goal in the 70th minute with a low shot from 18 meters.   

GAME 6: Sunday, March 28, 2010: St. Andrews II vs. Alemannia Aixpress 1:1
In a game against a particularly unfair opponent, Alemannia lost two points. Despite many chances, Alemannia could not put the ball in the net more than once. Philip Goebel scored for Alemannia in the 30th minute. St. Andrews scored on a penalty kick in the 41st minute. The referee did little to keep the repeated fouls of the St. Andrews players in check.

GAME 7: Sunday, April 11, 2010: Alemannia Aixpress vs. Ragamuffins Red 0:0
This game featured two very good defensive lines. In a game with few chances to score, Alemannia was the better team for the first 30 minutes. Then, Ragamuffins Red took over control of midfield and began to dominate the game. Philip Prince was sent off in the 70th minute. Considering being down a man for twenty minutes, this was a lucky tie for Alemannia.   

GAME 8: Sunday, April 18, 2010: Kallas Islanders vs. Alemannia Aixpress 0:5
The game was a forfeit, counted as a 5:0 win for Alemannia.

GAME 9: Sunday, Aril 25, 2010: Alemannia Aixpress vs. The Reds 0:1
The teams were evenly matched, both teams had chances to score, but two excellent goalkeepers kept their goals clean. In the 59th minute, Thor Adalsteinsson hit the right post after dribbling through the Reds' defense. A few minutes later, Christian Thier hit a powerful header from 9 yards out, which the Reds' goalie defelcted to the crossbar with his fingertips. The Reds had numerous excellent opportunities, but time and again, the Alemannia keeper Carl Johnson saved shot after shot. Finally, in the 86th minute, the Reds scored on a well timed header into the lower right corner of the goal.


PLAY OFFS:
GAME 1: Sunday, May 2, 2010: Alemannia Aixpress vs. Kallas Islanders 2:1
In teh semi-final of the President Cup, Alemannia dominated the game and scored two quick goals early. Jay Morlachetta and Rodrigo dePaula were the scorers, both after precise crosses from the right wing, one by Thor Adalsteinson and one by Michael Durham. Kallas scored their goal after a PK, which was given after a Philip Prince fouled a Kallas striker in the box. 
Rich Vosilla played an excellent game as goal keeper, and Jay Morlachetta and Michael Barclay were outstanding in central defense.

GAME 2: Sunday, May 16, 2010: Ragamuffins Red vs. Alemannia Aixpress 0:6
 
This was the final of the President Cup. A total of 8 players were injured and unable to play in this game. Alemannia was only able to field 11 players in this game. In the first half, both teams had their chances. The Ragas Red scored the 1:0 after a cross from the left side. Alemannia had the chance to equalize with a penalty kick in the 40th minute, but Thor Adalsteinsson missed wide right. In the second half, Alemannia fell apart and allowed the opponent to score 5 (!) unanswered goals. An unsatisfying end to a fantastic season.
